Ask our Hygienist

Our Oral Hygienist, a great ally!

Most patients refer to time with their hygienist as a cleaning, but these appointments can include the following services.

Diagnostic:  Includes examination of your teeth to find decay, cavity detecting radiographs, and an assessment of your gum tissue.

Preventive: Could mean screening for oral cancer, checking blood pressure, and applying fluoride, and pit and fissure sealants.

Educational:  Could include brushing and flossing instruction, nutrition counselling, explanations of dental treatments, and answers to questions about future treatment.

Teeth Whitening: Dental bleaching, also known as tooth whitening, is a common procedure in general dentistry but most especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry.

Hygiene services begin here, but they must always be followed by proper brushing, flossing, and healthy eating at home. If you are not sure how, ask Alinda, your hygienist!
